Our client are breeds and produces high quality vegetable seeds for tropical. Farming experience, we aim to increase the income of smallholder vegetable. They are looking for Area Sales Manager -Seeds for Sir Lanka and Rest of Asia as qualification as below;
Job responsibilities
- Develop a sales strategy supportive of the overall business direction and objectives and translate into tactical actions with clear and specific measures that will drive the desired results
- Identify , build and develop business opportunities in the market through regular connection/interaction with the farmers and distributor/partners and offering solutions through our products and services
- Prepares sales forecast , monitors achievement of targets versus forecast and performs variance analysis
- Analyzes and recommends pricing strategies to maximize profit and maintain competitiveness of products in the market
- Implements marketing strategies and programs and provides feedback on effectiveness
- Monitors competitor activities , identifies potential impact to our business and recommends proactive actions to protect our territories and business interest
- Supports product development and innovation by providing inputs to Marketing and R&D regarding market trends and changing behaviors of the customers
- Ensures that customer issues and concerns with regard to product quality , availability and service are addressed in a timely manner
- Prepares and submits sales reports as required by the company
Desirable personal traits
- Preferably a graduate of Agriculture course or any related field
- Successful experience in sales and marketing from agriculture and seed business is a must
- Extensive experience in seed business at least 5 years, 2 years in managerial level
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Possesses strong business acumen
- Preferably with knowledge of business in Sri Lanka
