POSITION: DESIGN MANAGER – MACHINE

LOCATION: CENTRAL THAILAND
SALARY: 80,000 – 100,000 THB
Position Overview
The Design Manager will lead and oversee all engineering design activities for custom automation systems and industrial machinery. This role ensures that mechanical, electrical, and control system designs meet customer requirements, comply with industry standards, and are delivered on schedule. The Design Manager will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Project Management, Production, and Procurement to drive innovation, efficiency, and high‑quality machine development.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mechanical, electrical, and automation design teams.
Oversee all design phases from concept through detailed engineering to final release.
Review and approve machine concepts, layouts, and technical drawings.
Ensure all designs meet customer specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support Sales with technical evaluations, feasibility reviews, and cost estimations.
Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Work with Production and Procurement to ensure manufacturability and proper component selection.
Provide technical guidance to resolve complex design issues and enhance system integration.
Facilitate customer meetings for design clarification and support FAT/SAT activities.
Drive continuous improvement in design quality, engineering processes, and technology utilization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in automation or machine design, with leadership or design management experience.
Background in custom machine development (automation equipment, packaging systems, testing machines, conveyors, robotics).
Hands‑on experience in fixtures & tooling, robotic systems, parts presentation, and material handling design.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross‑functional collaboration.
Excellent English communication skills.
