Job description:

• Analyzing and categorizing data to create a strategy that is appropriate for the supply position model, lifecycle of the project, project initiation, and set the key success factors.
• Identify areas for quality and productivity improvement, and make sure suppliers come up with and carry out improvement plans for any parts the company receives.
• Find the best way to maintain a good relationship while securing a great profit by analyzing and setting up a cost reduction for every design project by sourcing the potential supplier.
• Work cross-functionally with a range of stakeholders, such as supply chain, manufacturing and design engineering, operations program management, and program management.
• Ensure that products are made with cost and quality in mind by developing a plan by choosing the best materials and choosing the most effective production techniques jointly with other division.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or above; engineering background preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in engineer project management or a leadership role is required.
• Specialize in cost reduction and supply chain activities of the design engineering project.
• Strong people are experts at teamwork, with excellent communication and coordination with cross-functional teams and related employees within the company.
• Adequate knowledge of common quality tools such as 8D, 7 tools for problem solving, SPC, the PPAP process, etc.
• Fluent in English and capable of communication in Japanese.
• Strategic thinking and good planning capabilities.
