The Operations Manager - Heavy Machine Department role provides strategic oversight and manages the daily execution of heavy equipment operations in Prachinburi. The position oversees the equipment lifecycle, maintenance, utilisation, personnel, and departmental costs to ensure machinery supports construction, mining, and industrial projects according to schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee heavy equipment operations, including fleet procurement, maintenance scheduling, personnel management, and daily execution

  • Manage the acquisition, deployment, and decommissioning of heavy assets, including excavators, cranes, and dozers

  • Monitor telematics and Global Positioning System (GPS) data to improve equipment utilisation and minimise idle time

  • Manage the inventory of critical spare parts required to support equipment availability

  • Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules to minimise unplanned breakdowns

  • Manage departmental operating expenditure, including repairs, fuel, and labour, as well as capital expenditure for new equipment purchases

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine whether ageing assets should be repaired or replaced

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field

  • 8–10 years of experience in heavy equipment operations

  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership position

  • Proficiency in providing technical support

  • Strong knowledge of heavy machinery and equipment operations
