Assistant General Manager – Human Resources (SEA Region)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic HR initiatives aligned with business objectives across the SEA region.

  • Design and oversee performance management systems for the region.

  • Enhance recruitment strategies and processes for regional operations.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for the region.

  • Drive career development programs to support employee growth and succession planning.

  • Optimize HR-related expenditures and ensure cost-effective practices.

  • Establish and manage compensation and benefits policies tailored to regional needs.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations across the SEA region.

  • Analyze and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, recruitment, headcount, training, and personnel costs.

  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and enforce adherence to job description policies.

  • Provide guidance to location heads and HR teams on employee relations and grievance handling in line with company policies.

  • Regularly update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.

  • Manage employee welfare and benefits programs across the region.

  • Supervise annual appraisal and bonus processes within set timelines.

  • Continuously improve HR service delivery and operational workflows.

  • Prepare annual HR budgets in alignment with corporate strategies.

  • Review and align HR action plans with overall business goals.

  • Mentor and support team members to enhance performance and career progression.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HRM, HRD, or HRBP roles.

  • At least 5 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Fluent in English.

  • Capable of working effectively under pressure.

  • Prior experience working within the SEA region is a plus.
