Position : Project Manager – Biomass Thermal Plant
Responsibilities :
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget as well as ensuring quality and safety.
- Coordinate internal site team and third parties/vendors (EPC and civil contractors) for the flawless execution of project.
- Manage all contractual and commercial matters of the projects with customers and contractors.
- Designing of the project execution team (internal/external) and objectives/scope for the team
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Create weekly update progress report and monthly projected final cost report.
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks, review and implement HSE approved site safety plan with EPC contractors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Delegate project tasks to the Site Management team considering individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyses the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Power/Civil/Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 5-10 years of project management experience in construction projects related to biomass or related fields (e.g., steam boilers, coal power plants, combined-cycle power plants).
- Familiar with construction related laws, regulations, permitting and guidelines.
- Direct experience of managing multi-million-dollar projects in the role of Project Manager
- Proven ability to complete projects independently according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- General understanding of mechanical, electrical, and structural construction
- Working experience within industrial environment with strict health and safety standards
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Excellent skills in Project Management, MS Office. AutoCAD, SketchUp
- Involvement in biomass, solid fuel combustion and handling is an advantage.
