About Opportunity

Our client is a well-established international consulting firm with a strong presence across Asia-Pacific, supporting multinational and Japanese enterprises with strategic, operational, and transformation projects.

Due to continued growth in their Japan-facing portfolio, they are seeking a Japanese-speaking Management Consultant to support high-impact consulting engagements across multiple industries.

This role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders, regional projects, and career progression within a global consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end management consulting engagements, from problem definition to implementation

  • Work closely with Japanese-speaking clients, acting as a key liaison between local and regional stakeholders

  • Conduct market research, data analysis, and financial / operational modeling

  • Develop strategic recommendations, business cases, and executive-level presentations

  • Support transformation initiatives such as process improvement, PMO, strategy execution, and change management

  • Collaborate with cross-border consulting teams across Asia and Japan

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related fields

  • 3–7+ years of experience in management consulting or relevant strategy / advisory roles

  • Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1–N2 or equivalent business-level proficiency)

  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)

  • Solid analytical skills and structured problem-solving ability

  • Client-facing experience with strong stakeholder management skills

  • Willingness to support projects that may involve regional travel

Preferred Background

  • Experience working with Japanese corporations or headquarters-based stakeholders

  • Consulting experience in strategy, operations, transformation, or PMO

  • Exposure to industries such as manufacturing, automotive, financial services, or technology
