The Legal Chief role supports legal and regulatory matters at a manufacturing company in Lam Sai, Wang Noi, Ayutthaya. The position covers contract administration, corporate documentation, business licences, intellectual property, insurance, legal advice, and coordination with government authorities and external legal advisers.
Responsibilities
Draft and prepare various types of contracts as assigned
Review contract information to ensure legal accuracy and completeness
Compile, update, and maintain contracts, legal documents, regulations, rules, orders, and announcements in line with current laws
Respond to legal enquiries, complete questionnaires, and participate in remote meetings with the parent company, affiliated companies, clients, and business partners
Research legal information, prepare documentation, and complete legal assignments from supervisors
Oversee legal-related insurance matters concerning business operations, business licences, products, executives, and staff
Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and related rights
Submit requests to change or update important company information and obtain certified copies of documents, including company affidavits, the Memorandum of Association, shareholder lists, and registered address records
Coordinate with responsible parties regarding annual tax filings, licence applications, facility establishment, urban planning meetings, and the use of public areas
Provide legal advice, recommendations, and opinions regarding community complaints, regulatory fines, fraud, unfair business practices, and rights violations
Coordinate with government authorities to file police reports and negotiate settlements in cases involving theft, trespassing, or disputes
Coordinate with law firms and legal advisers regarding litigation and other legal proceedings
Submit and report information concerning waste materials to the Department of Industrial Works
Participate in company activities related to ISO 14001, Safety, Critical Control Confirmation Function, and other quality systems
Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law
Approximately 1 year of legal experience in a manufacturing business will be an advantage
Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to factory operations
Experience submitting factory licence applications
Ability to travel for off-site work
Ability to work overtime when required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Ability to use English in the workplace
Ability to commute to Lam Sai, Wang Noi, Ayutthaya
Valid driving licence and ability to drive a car will be an advantage
Willingness to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and 2 Saturdays per month
