Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Manager to oversee technical development, production readiness, and process optimization within high‑end jewelry manufacturing. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands‑on expertise in metallurgy, casting, goldsmithing, and stonesetting, combined with proven leadership on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical feasibility, design reviews, and design‑to‑production integration.
- Manage production readiness, tooling decisions, and process optimization.
- Drive quality improvement, reduce gold loss, and minimize defects and rework.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Supervise and develop technical teams (goldsmiths, setters, casters, model makers).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth production execution.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years in high‑end or luxury jewelry manufacturing (OEM experience required).
- Strong background with US & European client standards.
- Deep knowledge of metallurgy, alloy behavior, and casting processes.
- Hands‑on experience with goldsmithing, diamond & gemstone setting.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM and production integration workflows.
- Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing on the factory floor.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
