Position: Material Development Manager (Automotive)
Location: Amata City Industrial Estate, Chonburi
Workday: Monday – Friday
Salary: 60,000 – 80,000 THB / month
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage material development projects for automotive components from concept to launch.
Evaluate and select suitable materials that meet strict design, quality, and cost requirements.
Collaborate with R&D, Design, Production, and Quality teams to support the development of new products.
Manage material testing, validation, and approval processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Work closely with material suppliers to ensure high-quality, reliable materials and continuous improvement.
Monitor market trends and innovations in automotive materials, recommending new technologies for implementation.
Provide technical support and training to team members and other related departments.
Ensure all material development activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering).
At least 10–15 years of experience in material development, preferably within the automotive industry.
Currently working in a Development Management role.
Strong knowledge of automotive components, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent leadership, project management, and team development skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good command of English (writing, reading, and speaking). Japanese language skills are a significant advantage.
Highly responsible, proactive, and adaptable.
Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards.
Proficient in computer skills necessary for management tasks.
