Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for procurement activities related to automotive projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies and ensure timely procurement of automotive components.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with Japanese-speaking suppliers, maintaining strong relationships to meet project requirements.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and Japanese-speaking suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulations to make informed procurement decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
- Proven experience over 3-5 years in procurement within the automotive industry, preferably in a project-based role.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and Business in Japanese language to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholder (no JLPT can apply).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office suite.
