Japanese Interpreter (Automotive Industry)
Location: Bangkok
Experience Required: 3–5 Years | Japanese Proficiency (JLPT N2–N1)
Our client, a well‑established company in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled Japanese Interpreter to support cross-functional teams and facilitate effective communication within their organization.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will act as a key communication bridge between Japanese executives/engineers and local teams. This role involves both verbal interpretation and written translation of technical and business-related content.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation (Japanese ↔ Thai) during internal meetings, production floor activities, and technical discussions.
Translate documents, reports, training materials, and emails with a focus on automotive terminology.
Support Japanese expat in daily communication with local teams.
Ensure high accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality in all communications.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Japanese, Linguistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
3–5 years of experience as an Interpreter/Translator, preferably in an automotive manufacturing or engineering environment.
JLPT N2 or N1 certification (or equivalent proficiency).
Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced operational settings.
Experience working in Japanese corporate culture is an advantage.
Additional Preferred Skills
Knowledge of automotive processes (production, QA, logistics, engineering).
Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
