POSITION:          BOM ENGINEER – Electronic Component
BUSINESS:          Electronic Component Trader
LOCATION:        LUMLUKKA, PATHUMTHANI
SALARY:              35,000 – 50,000 THB
Responsibilities

1. Verify and generate new part numbers for new components.
2. Identify existing components or equivalent specifications in the component database.
3. Review and analyze Bills of Materials (BOM) by comparing them with customer requirements and existing component database.
4. Develop multiple sourcing strategies, address customer complaints, and ensure safety compliance by identifying alternative components and obtaining customer approval.
5. Collaborate with the Purchasing Team or related departments to enhance supplier quality.
6. Assist in verifying and troubleshooting material or component issues.
7. Cross-reference and source electronic components.
8. Maintain and update knowledge of electronic components.
9. Propose alternative components and secure customer approval.
10. Evaluate component liability.
11. Undertake technical tasks related to BOM and production preparation.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as BOM engineer in electronic parts, previous experience in manufacturing is an advantage where previous responsibility is related to product implementation; product engineering; BOM management.
3. Knowledge of IPC / JEDEC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
4. Good understanding of electronics components, circuit design is a plus.
5. Experience of use of any ERP systems (Axapta, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or equivalent)
6. Maintain and track his own task with less supervision.
7. Highly skilled in MS Office, especially Excel, and Excel Macro is a plus.
8. Very good in analytical and negotiation skills
9. Good attention to details
10. Good understanding in English both speaking and writing.
