The Textile Factory Manager - Japanese Speaker role leads the daily operations of a specialised textile manufacturing facility in Ratchaburi. The position combines production leadership, quality assurance, cost control, continuous improvement, and team development, while supporting communication with Japanese-speaking management and customers.
Responsibilities
Production Management
Manage daily textile manufacturing operations
Ensure production targets, efficiency, and productivity are achieved
Monitor spinning, knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, or garment production processes
Optimise production scheduling and capacity utilisation
Quality Assurance
Establish and maintain quality standards
Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Reduce defects, customer complaints, and waste
Cost Control
Monitor manufacturing costs and productivity
Drive cost-reduction initiatives
Improve labour and machine utilisation
Factory Leadership
Lead and develop department managers and supervisors
Build a high-performance manufacturing culture
Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning
Continuous Improvement
Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
Lead productivity improvement projects
Support factory digitalisation and automation initiatives
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
Maintain occupational health and safety standards
Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives
Communication with Japanese-speaking Management
Report factory performance directly to Japanese-speaking executives
Participate in meetings with Japanese-speaking customers and the company’s headquarters
Translate operational requirements into actionable factory plans
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Japanese language proficiency, with JLPT N3 or above preferred
10–15 years of experience in textile manufacturing
At least 5 years of experience as a factory manager, plant manager, production director, or in a similar leadership role
Strong knowledge of yarn manufacturing, knitting, weaving, dyeing and finishing, and garment production
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and ISO systems
