The Sales Engineer role combines business development with technical support for gas detector systems and related products. The position works closely with industrial customers to understand their requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and provide calibration and after-sales support alongside the engineering team.
Responsibilities
Manage sales activities for fixed and portable gas detector systems and standard gas products
Visit industrial customers to understand their requirements and prepare quotations
Develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customers
Achieve assigned sales revenue targets while supporting overall business growth
Conduct on-site calibration services in collaboration with the engineering team
Replace sensors, inspect signal systems, and perform basic troubleshooting
Prepare calibration reports and related documentation in accordance with required standards
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams regarding imported products and equipment
Provide product training and technical consultation to customers
Support after-sales service activities and respond to customer enquiries
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in industrial sales
Site engineers or calibration engineers interested in transitioning into a sales role are encouraged to apply
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, measuring instruments, calibration, analogue signals, and relay normally open and normally closed contacts
Strong negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Valid driving licence
Willingness to travel and stay overnight for business trips when required
Intermediate English proficiency
Experience with measuring instruments or gas detectors will be an advantage
