Position: R&D Manager
Salary package: 70,000 - 80,000 Baht / month (depend on experience)
Location: Ban Bueng, Chonburi
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of new Wheel and Tire Wheel Assembly products from concept through production launch.
Manage product design activities including 2D/3D modeling, engineering calculations, and technical specifications.
Develop innovative products that meet customer requirements and market demands.
Drive localization and cost reduction initiatives.
Review and approve engineering drawings, design specifications, and technical documentation.
Conduct design verification and validation activities.
Perform load analysis, structural assessments, and product performance evaluations.
Collaborate with customers on technical requirements, product development, and design reviews.
Develop and manage product testing and validation programs.
Oversee laboratory and field-testing activities.
Ensure products comply with international standards and customer specifications.
Analyze test results and implement design improvements.
Evaluate new materials, manufacturing technologies, and production processes.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to enhance product manufacturability.
Support process development for rim rolling, welding, forming, machining, painting, and wheel assembly operations.
Lead new product development projects and customer programs.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and overall execution.
Lead, mentor, and develop the R&D team to achieve business objectives.
Coach engineers and technical staff to strengthen technical capabilities.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Minimum 10 years of experience in product design, engineering, or R&D within manufacturing industries.
Minimum 5 years of management experience leading R&D or product development teams.
Strong knowledge of wheel rim design and manufacturing processes.
Experience with steel wheel structures, load-bearing designs, and welded assemblies.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
Experience in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and product validation methodologies.
Understanding of welding processes, steel materials, fabrication technologies, and surface coating systems.
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and engineering simulation tools is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement principles.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Ability to communicate effectively with international customers, suppliers, and global engineering teams.
