The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer role focuses on leading quality assurance activities from concept through to production transfer within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced QA or manufacturing engineering professional who can manage process validation, drive process optimisation, and support a smooth transition into production.
Responsibilities
Lead quality activities from concept through to production transfer, ensuring alignment with customer, CTQ, regulatory, and validation requirements
Execute process validation, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, and establish robust control plans, inspection strategies, and quality requirements
Engage with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to align on specifications, acceptance criteria, technical risks, and validation expectations
Drive process optimisation during development builds through parameter refinement, identification of critical variables, process-material interactions, and improvement in yield and consistency
Operate effectively in evolving or ambiguous development environments by structuring problems, prioritising actions, and driving clarity
Support seamless transition to production by ensuring process readiness, robust documentation, process capability, and cross-functional alignment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or a similar field
At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Engineering
Experience in NPI, process validation, and structured problem-solving within manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and DMAIC principles
Hands-on experience with RCA, DOE, SPC, and MSA
