The Procurement Staff - Japanese Speaker role offers an opportunity to support purchasing and inventory activities within a manufacturing environment. The position involves managing purchase documentation, coordinating orders with overseas headquarters and suppliers, and responding to model changes and urgent procurement requirements.
Responsibilities
Control and manage inventory using Microsoft Excel
Manage invoices and purchase orders, and place orders with overseas headquarters
Coordinate with overseas headquarters regarding model changes and other urgent matters, primarily by email and by telephone when immediate communication is required
Coordinate with suppliers regarding order-related matters
Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Japanese language proficiency at upper-intermediate level or above, equivalent to JLPT N2
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to work Monday to Friday and one to two Saturdays per month
Recent graduates are welcome to apply
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, coordination, or a similar role within a manufacturing business
Familiarity with a Japanese manufacturing working environment
Ability to multitask and work independently
