The PE Programmer role focuses on developing and maintaining internal software applications that support Production and Engineering functions within a manufacturing environment. The position offers an opportunity to improve productivity, quality, and operational processes through software development, database support, and system integration.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain internal software applications that support Production and Engineering functions, enhancing productivity and quality within manufacturing processes
Analyse user requirements and design software solutions to improve operational efficiency and business processes
Perform software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and system enhancements to maintain functionality and user satisfaction
Design and support database systems, system integration, and related IT projects based on business requirements
Coordinate with internal users and external vendors on software development and system implementation activities
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and project-related reports
Provide technical support and training to users when required
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2 to 4 years of experience in software development or programming
Knowledge of programming languages and technologies such as C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, PHP, web applications, UI/UX, PostgreSQL, or related tools
Experience in database design and system integration will be an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve work processes
