The Maintenance Manager role is responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of production machinery within a global automotive manufacturing environment. Based in Amata City, Chonburi, the position leads maintenance planning, team development, cost control, and continuous improvement to minimise downtime and support efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise equipment uptime and minimise production disruptions
Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians and specialists, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of labour, parts, equipment, and other resources
Monitor equipment performance and implement upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines
Oversee spare parts and maintenance supply inventories, maintaining adequate stock levels while controlling carrying costs
Drive continuous improvement through lean principles, root cause analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, resolve issues, and support seamless operations
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and cost analyses, and prepare regular management reports on key metrics and trends
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferably with a GPA of 2.80 or above
More than 10 years of maintenance management experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
Strong knowledge of PLC systems, maintenance techniques, manufacturing processes, and equipment used in automotive production
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
Good command of English
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
