The IT Manager - Infrastructure & Security role offers an exciting opportunity to lead IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and security operations in a logistics and supply chain environment. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with IT management responsibilities to ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT services across the organisation.
Responsibilities
IT operations and infrastructure
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and Microsoft 365
Ensure system performance, availability, and reliability in line with SLA requirements
Perform system administration, monitoring, backup, and routine maintenance
Cloud and security
Oversee cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, including migration and optimisation initiatives
Implement and enforce IT security policies, including firewall, VPN, endpoint protection, and access control
Monitor systems, logs, and alerts to identify risks and respond to incidents proactively
Project and vendor management
Plan and deliver IT infrastructure and system implementation projects
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure quality delivery and cost-effective solutions
Manage contracts, service agreements, and vendor performance
Leadership and stakeholder management
Lead, mentor, and support IT team members and external vendors
Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and deliver IT solutions
Report IT performance, risks, and project progress to management
Governance and continuous improvement
Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and best practices
Ensure compliance with security and business continuity requirements
Identify improvement opportunities to enhance system performance and reliability
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or security roles
Strong technical knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
Strong technical knowledge of network and security systems, including firewall, VPN, and EDR
Experience with Microsoft 365, virtualisation, and backup solutions
Experience managing IT projects and vendors
Leadership experience or team coordination ability
Good problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Certifications such as AWS, Azure, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred
Familiarity with ITIL or IT service management practices is preferred
