The Interpreter - Japanese Speaker role supports effective communication between Japanese-speaking and Thai-speaking stakeholders in Bangkok. Combining interpretation, sales coordination, document preparation, and administrative support, the position involves regular customer visits and close collaboration with internal departments.
Responsibilities
Provide Japanese-Thai interpretation during meetings, discussions, and business communications
Accompany Japanese-speaking sales staff on daily customer visits and provide interpretation during client meetings
Facilitate effective communication between Japanese-speaking and Thai-speaking stakeholders
Assist sales staff with preparing reports, presentations, quotations, and other business-related documents
Collect, organise, and summarise data required for sales activities and customer management
Coordinate with internal departments to support smooth communication and business operations
Provide administrative support, including scheduling, arranging meetings, and handling general office tasks
Support the administration team with ad hoc assignments as required
Travel with sales staff to customer locations using a company car with a driver provided
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field
JLPT N3 certification or above, with the ability to communicate effectively in Japanese
Previous experience as a Japanese-language interpreter within a Japanese company is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable undertaking daily client visits and working frequently outside the office
Ability to work independently, perform effectively under pressure, and adapt to changing situations
Proactive, resilient, and confident approach with a strong sense of responsibility
Good organisational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
