The Interpreter role is a valuable opportunity for an experienced interpreter with Japanese language proficiency to support executive meetings, technical discussions, training programmes, factory tours, and business negotiations in a manufacturing environment. This onsite role will help bridge communication between Japanese-speaking staff and overseas employees while supporting smooth collaboration across business and technical activities.
Responsibilities
Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during executive meetings, technical discussions, and client negotiations
Support internal training programmes and factory tours for overseas employees through accurate interpretation
Translate technical documents, including product specifications, quality control materials, manuals, and related documentation
Facilitate effective communication in Japanese and English to promote mutual understanding and smooth collaboration among employees
Accompany domestic and international business trips to provide on-site interpretation and communication support
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Japanese, Linguistics, Translation, Interpretation, or a related field
Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N1 level
Good command of English with a TOEIC score of 800 or above
At least 3 years of experience as a Japanese Interpreter in a Japanese manufacturing company
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
