The Human Resources (HR) and General Affairs (GA) Assistant Manager role is a great opportunity for an experienced HR & GA professional to oversee people operations, office administration, compliance, and employee services in an engineering business environment. Based in Bangkok, this onsite role will work across HR operations, payroll, recruitment, visa and work permit coordination, office services, budgeting, and cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee overall HR, GA, and administrative operations, ensuring that HR operations, employee services, and administrative activities are managed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and Thai labour laws
Manage daily HR operations, including recruitment, sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, exit interviews, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, welfare administration, and talent development programmes
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with Thai labour laws and corporate guidelines, including investigation of labour-related issues and compliance with employment regulations
Conduct training needs analysis, coordinate training programmes, evaluate training effectiveness, and support employee development activities
Process monthly payroll accurately and submit payroll reports within the required timeline
Manage employee services, including health check-ups, insurance renewals, travel arrangements, company events, and visa and work permit matters for expatriates under BOI
Supervise GA and administrative operations, including purchasing, facility management, office services, office maintenance, and coordination with suppliers and service providers
Oversee and monitor contracts related to office rental, suppliers, and employee service providers, and coordinate with legal and compliance teams on contract and regulatory matters
Supervise GA staff to ensure operational efficiency across HR, GA, and office administration activities
Prepare annual HR & GA budgets and operational plans, monitor HR & GA expenditures, and support cross-functional projects or ad hoc assignments aligned with business objectives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in HROD, English, or a related field
More than 7 years of experience in HR, GA, office management, purchasing, and visa or work permit handling under BOI
Ability to communicate in English with expatriates
TOEIC score of around 650 or above would be an advantage
Strong people management skills with a high sense of responsibility and supportive leadership style
Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Excel
Able to work onsite around MRT Petchburi, Bangkok
