The Head of Freight Forwarding role provides executive leadership across commercial, operations, and customer service functions in Bangkok. With full profit and loss ownership, the position drives business growth, profitability, organisational development, and long-term strategy while leading a large cross-functional organisation.
Responsibilities
Lead the overall freight forwarding business across commercial, operations, and customer service functions
Drive business growth, profitability, and long-term strategic development through full profit and loss ownership
Develop and execute commercial strategies to expand market share and strengthen customer relationships
Lead organisational development, performance improvement, and business transformation initiatives
Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align business strategies and operational objectives
Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team while overseeing an organisation of approximately 250 employees
Monitor business performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity, service quality, and operational efficiency
Represent the business in key customer meetings, strategic partnerships, and executive-level discussions
Requirements
Extensive leadership experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
Proven experience leading commercial, operations, customer service, and profit and loss functions at senior management or executive level
Strong understanding of ocean freight and international logistics operations
Demonstrated success in business development, organisational leadership, and business transformation
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills within multicultural environments
Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience managing large cross-functional organisations
Fluency in English is required, while Thai language skills would be an advantage
Experience with multinational logistics companies is highly preferred
