The Head of Accounting and Finance role leads a large accounting and finance team while overseeing financial operations, reporting, consolidation, budgeting, taxation, and cash flow management. The position works closely with senior management and provides accurate financial information and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead large accounting and finance teams responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, accounting closing, and financial operations
Direct the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring high standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance
Prepare financial analysis and management reports to support senior management decision-making
Lead annual budgeting and periodic financial forecasting processes, monitor budget performance, and analyse variances
Manage corporate income tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate policies by coordinating with external auditors, tax advisers, and government authorities
Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital, including cash forecasting and funding requirements for new investment opportunities when required
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) licence is required
At least 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 9 years in a supervisory or managerial position
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to lead and supervise a large team
Hands-on approach with strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Good command of English
