The Country Lead role for an agrochemical company offers an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional to pioneer market expansion and sales growth across crop protection products. This position will focus on strengthening distribution networks, building key relationships and driving market presence in Thailand’s agricultural sector.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of strategies to expand market share in Thailand
Translate business objectives into clear plans and actionable roadmaps to support short- and long-term targets
Promote crop protection products through distributor partnerships, field engagement and technical initiatives
Identify new growth opportunities by developing strategic partnerships, expanding the customer base and increasing market penetration
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key accounts, growers and industry stakeholders
Provide market insights on trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics and customer needs to support actionable strategies
Work cross-functionally with technical, marketing and regulatory teams to support product positioning, launches and campaigns
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in the agrochemical, crop protection or fertiliser industry with strong experience in sales and distribution management
Strong knowledge of crop protection, fertiliser or agri-input products
Strong network within the Thailand agriculture or agrochemical market
Willingness to travel upcountry
Fluent communication skills in Thai and English
Mandarin Chinese language skills are highly preferred
Strong commercial, negotiation and strategic thinking skills with execution capability, result-driven mindset and hands-on approach
