The Accounting Staff role offers an opportunity to build practical experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position plays an important part in maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting cash flow planning, and contributing to improvements in finance processes.
Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Ensure timely collection and follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
Reconcile supporting documents and record all accounts receivable transactions
Prepare tax filings, including withholding tax and VAT
Prepare timely and accurate accounting reports, including accounts receivable ageing reports
Maintain customer master data
Perform bank account reconciliations
Support the preparation of weekly cash flow projections
Prepare month-end closing and reporting
Provide supporting documentation for audits and government requirements
Support finance improvement projects and initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Up to two years of experience in accounting or finance, with applications from recent graduates also welcome
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet regular deadlines
Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Proactive, self-motivated, and well-disciplined
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
