The Accounting Assistant Manager role oversees accounting and finance activities for a trading business in Bangkok. The position covers financial closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, and coordination with auditors and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and finance functions, including monthly closing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), cash flow, taxation, reporting, and forecasting

  • Execute and coordinate accounting closing activities

  • Prepare month-end reports, closing analyses, and account reconciliations

  • Monitor daily accounting activities to support accurate and timely financial processes

  • Prepare budgets and monthly profit and loss forecasts

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and work closely with auditors and external parties on financial and accounting matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPD certification is preferred

  • Experience as an accounting manager with responsibility for overall accounting and finance functions

  • Experience working in a manufacturing company, particularly within a Japanese manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Good understanding of accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a Japanese business environment
