The Tax Accountant role plays a key part in supporting accurate tax reporting, financial documentation, and regulatory compliance. The position focuses on Value Added Tax (VAT), withholding tax, account reconciliation, financial statements, and coordination with internal departments and external parties.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly input and output VAT reports and related tax documents
Review, record, and reconcile VAT transactions with the general ledger
Review and support withholding tax documentation
Prepare tax reconciliation reports covering VAT, sales, trial balances, and account balances
Prepare monthly sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and VAT versus PP.30 reports
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
Maintain tax documentation and provide support for audits, tax inspections, and refund claims
Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), Business Development, and factory teams
Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors, and the Revenue Department
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge of VAT, withholding tax, and related tax documentation
Ability to review and reconcile tax transactions against general ledger records
Ability to prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and supporting schedules
Strong coordination skills for working with internal departments, auditors, customers, suppliers, and government authorities
