The Senior Operations Manager (PCB) - Chinese Speaking role leads manufacturing operations across production, engineering, quality, planning, and supply chain functions at an electronics manufacturing company in Pathum Thani. The position drives productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery while supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), capacity expansion, and operational strategy. Proficiency in Chinese and good English communication skills are required to work effectively in a multicultural environment, and this is an onsite position.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and supporting functions
Drive production output, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), workforce productivity, quality yield, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery performance
Manage full or partial profit and loss responsibilities, including capital expenditure and operating expenditure planning, budgeting, and operational cost control
Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives covering labour, overtime, inventory, scrap, and manufacturing efficiency
Oversee quality performance and drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement programmes
Lead New Product Introduction, process qualification, equipment qualification, and design-for-manufacturability activities
Develop and lead department managers and large, multi-shift manufacturing teams to strengthen organisational capability
Represent manufacturing operations in customer business reviews, audits, quality discussions, and complaint resolution
Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Planning teams to align production capacity, material availability, and customer demand
Support senior management in strategic planning, capacity expansion, automation, digitalisation, and overall site growth initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience in printed circuit board, printed circuit board assembly, high-density interconnect, flexible printed circuit, semiconductor, or a closely related electronics manufacturing environment
Strong experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role, such as operations manager, division manager, plant manager, factory director, or an equivalent position
Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-shift manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams
Strong knowledge of printed circuit board and printed circuit board assembly manufacturing processes, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), lamination, drilling, plating, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), solder mask, surface finishing, and rework operations
Proven record of improving production efficiency, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, quality yield, costs, on-time delivery, and manufacturing capacity
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Eight Disciplines Problem Solving (8D), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), and other continuous improvement methodologies
Strong commercial and financial understanding, with experience in profit and loss management, budgeting, capital expenditure, operating expenditure, and cost optimisation
Strong leadership, communication, customer management, and cross-cultural management skills
Business-level English and proficiency in Chinese
