The Purchasing & Planning Officer role combines material planning, procurement, inventory control, and supplier coordination to support reliable production operations. The position plays a key part in maintaining sufficient raw material supply, managing inventory targets, and ensuring accurate planning and enterprise resource planning data.
Responsibilities
Manage material planning and purchasing activities to ensure sufficient raw material supply for production
Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and demand forecasts
Coordinate with production planning, warehouse, quality, and suppliers to support smooth operations
Manage domestic and international purchasing, supplier negotiations, and delivery performance
Monitor inventory targets and material shortages, implementing contingency plans when required
Prepare planning, inventory, and supplier performance reports while maintaining accurate Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data
Support audits, supplier evaluations, and continuous process improvement activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, inventory control, or supply chain
Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning, inventory management, and Enterprise Resource Planning or Systems, Applications, and Products systems
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Good command of English for supplier and cross-functional coordination
