The Purchase Specialist role is a great opportunity for a Chinese-speaking procurement professional to support sourcing, supplier development, and purchasing activities in an automotive manufacturing environment. This role will focus on securing materials and production-related items while supporting cost, delivery, and operational targets.
Responsibilities
Source and procure raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and production-related items to support manufacturing operations
Identify, develop, and qualify new suppliers while supporting localisation initiatives
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and commercial agreements to achieve cost-saving and operational targets
Monitor supplier performance, follow up on purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery to support production schedules
Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Finance teams to manage inventory levels, material availability, and procurement processes
Maintain strong supplier relationships to support stable purchasing operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment
Experience in supplier sourcing, supplier development, vendor management, and localisation activities
Strong negotiation, cost reduction, and commercial management skills
Ability to achieve procurement targets and support production requirements
Ability to communicate in Chinese
