The Patent Associate role offers an opportunity to manage patent prosecution and provide clients with technical and legal guidance at a law firm located near BTS Saphan Taksin in Bangkok. The position combines patent application management, client advisory, intellectual property strategy, and technical support for disputes, enforcement actions, and litigation proceedings.
Responsibilities
Manage patent matters across patent prosecution, client advisory, strategic guidance, and intellectual property litigation support
Oversee the full patent prosecution lifecycle, including reviewing and responding to office actions issued by the Thai Patent Office
Prepare well-founded technical and legal arguments to address examiner objections and advance patent applications towards grant
Provide clients with comprehensive advice on patent-related technical and legal matters
Develop tailored intellectual property strategies and deliver formal legal opinions to support business and innovation objectives
Support attorneys and legal teams by providing technical analysis, patent expertise, and strategic guidance in intellectual property disputes, enforcement actions, and litigation proceedings
Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field
Knowledge of or practical experience in patent law and patent prosecution
Experience conducting patent database searches, drafting patent and petty patent applications, and handling relevant documentation
Ability to communicate effectively in English with international stakeholders
A TOEIC score demonstrating English proficiency would be an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Ability to work near BTS Saphan Taksin, Bangkok
