The Manager role leads the quality management system and gateway process across manufacturing operations, from incoming inspection through to final quality assurance and pre-client inspection. This hybrid position plays a key part in strengthening quality ownership, managing contractor standards, and driving lean continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Own the quality management system and gateway process, covering incoming inspection, in-process gates, pressure testing, final quality assurance, and pre-client inspection
Build quality into every stage of the manufacturing process and ensure each stage takes ownership of its output
Lead non-conformance analysis, root-cause analysis, corrective action, traceability, and engineering change control
Administer contractor work packages according to their defined scope, standards, and completion criteria
Approve conforming work for payment by completing contractor quality inspections before invoices are paid
Drive lean continuous improvement and coach contractors to improve quality
Report quality KPIs and take appropriate action based on the data
Requirements
8 or more years of experience in quality leadership within manufacturing, preferably in the automotive or vehicle industry and under ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards
Strong background in lean and continuous improvement methodologies, including the Toyota Production System (TPS), Kaizen, root-cause analysis, and poka-yoke
Experience managing gate or inspection systems and supplier or contractor quality against defined standards
Fluency in English and Thai
Ability to travel to Australia for approximately 8 weeks of training at the beginning of the role, subject to holding a valid passport and obtaining the necessary visa
