The Management Consultant - Japanese Speaker role delivers Japanese- and English-language consulting support across strategy, operations, transformation, and project execution. The position offers exposure to senior stakeholders and regional projects while serving as a key liaison between clients and cross-border consulting teams.
Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end management consulting engagements, from problem definition through implementation
Work closely with Japanese-speaking clients and facilitate communication between local and regional stakeholders
Conduct market research, data analysis, and financial and operational modelling
Develop strategic recommendations, business cases, and executive-level presentations
Support transformation initiatives involving process improvement, Project Management Office (PMO), strategy execution, and change management
Collaborate with cross-border consulting teams across Asia
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
3 to 7 years or more of experience in management consulting or a relevant strategy or advisory role
Fluent Japanese, equivalent to JLPT N1 or N2 business-level proficiency
Strong written and spoken English communication skills
Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving ability
Client-facing experience with strong stakeholder management skills
Willingness to support projects that may involve regional travel
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with Japanese companies or headquarters-based stakeholders
Consulting experience in strategy, operations, transformation, or PMO
Exposure to manufacturing, automotive, financial services, or technology industries
