The Interpreter and Secretary - Japanese Speaker role supports Japanese management by facilitating communication, coordination, interpretation and administrative activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient daily operations and effective collaboration between teams in Thailand and Japan, particularly during the company’s growth and establishment phase.
Responsibilities
Act as a communication bridge between teams in Thailand and Japan
Provide Japanese–Thai interpretation and translation for meetings, documents, reports and business correspondence
Coordinate with internal departments, external partners and the headquarters in Japan
Manage executives’ schedules, appointments, travel arrangements and meeting logistics
Prepare presentations, reports, meeting materials and meeting minutes
Support management with administrative, operational and project-related tasks
Assist in improving organisational efficiency and supporting business operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Experience in a secretarial, executive assistant, coordinator, interpreter or related support role
Business-level Japanese proficiency, with JLPT N2 or above
Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proactive and responsible, with the ability to work independently
Comfortable working in a start-up environment with diverse responsibilities
Flexible, adaptable and willing to take on new challenges
Motivated to grow with the company and contribute to its long-term success
Willingness to undertake occasional weekend assignments, with weekday time off in lieu
Preferred requirements:
JLPT N1 certification
Previous experience working in a Japanese company
A background in supporting senior executives or management
Relevant experience in the food, restaurant or hospitality industry
