The Electrical Engineer role focuses on maintaining and improving electrical systems, production equipment, and automation-related operations in a manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring machine reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across plant operations.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for electrical systems and production equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, automation, PLC, inverter, and control system issues
Analyse equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime
Monitor and follow up on maintenance activities to ensure effective execution and machine availability
Support installation, modification, and improvement projects within budget and timeline
Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and contractors
Coordinate with Production and related departments to optimise operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide technical support, knowledge sharing, and engineering guidance to plant personnel
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in maintenance, electrical systems, automation, or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of electrical systems, motor control, PLCs, and industrial equipment
Experience in troubleshooting systems or equipment such as Siemens, Nidec, ABB, or similar
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or electrical design software
Experience with preventive maintenance systems, including PM or CMMS
Proficient in English
