The Assistant Financial Controller - Mandarin Speaker role offers the opportunity to oversee financial operations within a multinational manufacturing environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls and supporting strategic decision-making across regional teams.
Responsibilities
Oversee accounting operations and collaborate closely with finance teams in Thailand, China and the United States to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Develop, implement and maintain internal control frameworks and financial procedures in line with corporate policies and accounting standards
Assess business operations and financial processes to identify risks and establish mitigation strategies
Deliver financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making and business performance
Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, including performance management, coaching and development
Oversee external audits, tax compliance, customs matters and treasury activities
Drive budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with business objectives
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and overall profitability
Partner with management to strengthen financial discipline and accountability
Prepare ad hoc financial reports, profitability studies and strategic analyses
Oversee information systems functions to support financial operations and reporting
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or a related field
Mandarin language proficiency at native or business level
Experience working with US GAAP or US accounting standards preferred
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within multinational organisations and/or manufacturing environments
Strong background in financial controlling, business planning, budgeting and forecasting
Advanced analytical capabilities with strong proficiency in ERP systems and technology-driven environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders including senior management
Self-driven, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism and strong ethical standards
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities and business acumen
