Role Overview
The Aquaculture Researcher / Scientist will play a key role in bridging Research & Development, Technical Support, and commercial application in aquaculture. This role focuses on applied research, nutritional development, and product innovation, supporting aquaculture technologies from concept through validation and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and conduct scientific experiments related to aquaculture nutrition and larviculture.
Analyze biological and experimental data and provide clear, actionable reports.
Develop and propose new products or improvements based on research findings and market needs.
Plan and execute trials, hatchery studies, and laboratory analyses.
Coordinate testing activities with internal facilities and external research partners.
Support the development and optimization of nutritional solutions and aquaculture protocols.
Translate R&D knowledge into practical applications for technical and commercial teams.
Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, scientific research, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, technical, commercial) to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Aquaculture, Aquaculture Nutrition, Biology, Zoology, Veterinary Science, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
Minimum 5 years of experience in aquaculture, larviculture, or nutrition.
Hands‑on experience in hatchery operations, aquaculture trials or shrimp rearing.
Experience in applied research and laboratory work.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret scientific data.
Good understanding of aquaculture production systems and biological processes.
Experience working in international or cross‑functional environments is preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel and work across field, hatchery, and laboratory environments.
