The Acid Treatment Officer role offers an exciting opportunity for a chemical or engineering professional to support acid treatment processes for precious metal refining and material processing. This role focuses on safe chemical handling, process monitoring, Hull Cell testing, and continuous improvement in chemical treatment procedures within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform acid treatment processes for refining precious metals and other materials, including gold, silver, palladium, and platinum
Handle chemicals safely and follow strict safety protocols
Manage the disbursement of plating solutions and determine chemical usage limits or corrosive acid usage
Perform Hull Cell testing to support chemical process control
Monitor reactions and ensure compliance with environmental standards
Support continuous improvement in chemical treatment procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
More than 3 years of chemist experience in chemical products or related laboratory research
Strong knowledge of chemicals for raw material manufacturing and processing
Experience in plating company operations is an advantage
Good English communication skills for internal communication and documentation
Japanese language proficiency is an advantage
