JAC CSR

One placement creates one plant to save the planet.

In 1997, a huge forest fire originating in Kalimantan island in Indonesia spread throughout neigbouring regions and recorded some of the worst forest fires ever recorded. Millions of acres of rainforest, plantations and scrubland in Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Irian Jaya, Papua New Guinea, Bali, Lombock, and Sarawak, Malaysia. It is estimated that about 5.7 million acres finally burned, with huge amounts of greenhouse gases also being emitted into the atmosphere. The Asian Green Forest Network was founded to contribute in healing the massive forest degradation that occurred and the environs through tree-planting activities.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, JAC Recruitment Group has implemented an internal programmed dubbed “PPP Programme”—PPP stands for the three p's in "one placement creates one plant to save the planet". This is a group-wide programme aimed at tropical forest regeneration, to work towards a greener earth. Our activities are centered upon in Bali, Indonesia (Penelokan, Kintamani) and Borneo, Malaysia (Appen protected forest area, Serian, Sarawak).

Our aim and hope is that each new tree will grow and establish itself as each of our candidates will grow in their new company.
